Plain-English summary (the full Terms below control): Study Vault is a study-habit tool sold by Provident Financial Group, LLC. It locks the apps a parent chooses until a daily study goal is met, with practice that follows each class's unit sequence through the school year. It is not tutoring, it does not guarantee any grade or score, and it is not a safety or monitoring product. One family plan covers the students in your household. Web subscriptions can be cancelled any time and the first 14 days are refundable. Disputes go to individual arbitration, and you can opt out of that within 30 days.
"Study Vault," "we," "us," and "our" mean Provident Financial Group, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company, which operates the Study Vault iOS app, the website studyvaultapp.com, and the related parent dashboard and email reports (together, the "Service"). By purchasing a plan, checking the acceptance box at checkout, tapping "Agree" in the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of each student who uses the Service under your plan. Students in grades 6–12 use the Service only under a parent's plan; the student side of the app has no account and collects no contact information (see the Privacy Policy).
The Service limits access to apps that a parent selects on a student's iPhone until a parent-set daily study goal is completed, and provides practice questions aligned to common grade 6–12 course sequences, progress statistics, and parent reports. Unit pacing is an estimate based on widely used curricula and the school calendar a parent enters; it may not match a particular teacher's schedule, and the weekly check-in exists to correct it.
The Service is not tutoring, test-preparation instruction, educational advice, or counseling of any kind. It is not a safety, content-filtering, or monitoring product: it does not prevent access to harmful content, does not monitor communications, and is not a substitute for parental supervision. Do not rely on it for your child's safety.
Study Vault makes no guarantee, warranty, promise, or representation of any kind regarding grades, exam scores, test outcomes, academic performance, scholarship awards, or college admission results.
Test performance depends on many factors outside any software's control. Practice statistics, streaks, and skill meters shown in the Service are informational only and are not predictions of grades or exam results. You agree that no purchase decision has been made in reliance on any expectation of a particular score or outcome.
A subscription grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use by the students in your household while the subscription is active. "Household" means students under 18 who live with you and for whom you are the parent or legal guardian, on up to five student devices per plan. Family codes are for your household only; we may disable a code that is shared beyond it.
The questions, explanations, curriculum sequences, software, designs, and text in the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, scrape, resell, sublicense, publish, or create derivative works from them, or reverse-engineer the app.
The Service must be configured by a parent or legal guardian. By installing it on a student's device you represent that you have full legal authority to do so. The parent, not Study Vault, decides which apps are limited and when. Blocking is enforced by Apple's Screen Time technology; phone calls and emergency functions are never blocked by the Service. You acknowledge that a determined user may find ways to work around device-level blocking, and we do not warrant that blocking is impossible to bypass.
Subscription. The family plan is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription at the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price until cancelled. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase takes effect for an existing subscriber; the increase applies at your next renewal after that notice, and you may cancel before then.
Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe and can be cancelled any time from the link in your receipt or by emailing support@studyvaultapp.com; cancellation stops future renewals and the plan stays active through the end of the paid term. The first 14 days of a new web subscription are refundable in full on request to the same address, typically within 5–10 business days. App Store subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple; cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Apple's refund process applies, which we do not control.
If we discontinue the Service, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid term.
If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app, and in any conflict concerning the app itself, it controls. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.
You may not use the Service to violate any law or any third party's rights, share codes beyond your household, interfere with the Service, copy or redistribute its content, or install it on the device of any person for whom you lack legal authority. We may suspend or terminate a plan that violates these Terms.
We may add, change, or remove features. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date, and your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. Changes do not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before them.
Except for the refund guarantee in Section 6, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. No oral or written statement by us creates any warranty not expressly stated here.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Provident Financial Group, LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost opportunities, grades, scholarships, admission outcomes, emotional distress, or device or data issues — arising from or relating to the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of Sections 10 and 11 may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you have under the laws of the state where you live that cannot be waived by contract.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Provident Financial Group, LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your installation of the Service on a device without proper authority.
Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, email support@studyvaultapp.com with a description of the problem; we will try to resolve it within 30 days.
Arbitration. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms that is not resolved informally shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. The arbitrator, not a court, decides whether a dispute is subject to arbitration. Arbitration will take place by telephone, video, or in the county where you live. We will pay all AAA filing, administrative, and arbitrator fees beyond the first $200 of any filing fee you are required to pay.
You and Provident Financial Group, LLC each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration provision by emailing support@studyvaultapp.com within 30 days of your first purchase with your name and purchase email. This Section survives termination of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and by the Federal Arbitration Act with respect to Section 13.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in full effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the Service and supersede any prior statements. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Service.
